IEEE Student Branch Executive Members Recruiting 2011-2012

Hi all,

IEEE Student Branch at U of T is now recruiting executive members for next
academic year. Being a part of the largest professional association on
campus is a very rewarding experience, but is also a strong commitment. If
you feel that you are up to the challenge, and would like to expand your
network, sharpen your leadership and communication skills, and have the most
recognized international association on your resume, please take a look at
the following. Although experience is preferred, we welcome all applicants!

We have the following positions available:

Chair
- oversee all other executive members
- ensure their activities are contributing to the betterment of the IEEE

Vice Chair Professional Development
- establish contacts with industry and the academia
- invite renowned speakers to campus
- organize professional development events

Vice Chair Public Relations
- publish news letters
- promote IEEE and IEEE events to students
- collaborate with Treasurer on fund raising activities

Secretary
- make sure the branch runs smoothly including taking minute notes,
notifying members of events, etc

Chief in Technology
- maintain branch website
- ensure the branch leverage the best technology for our purpose

Off Campus Rep
- represent PEY students in the executive committee

Women in Engineering Chair
- represent all female engineering students in the executive committee

Vice Women in Engineering Chair
- assist the work of Women in Engineering Chair

Marketing and Promotional Chair
- designing posters and promoting the events
